WEB ACCESSIBILITY DEVELOPER

Salary Range: $3,470 - $6,486/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; weekends and evenings may be required; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Director of IT Client Support Services or designated project leader, the incumbent serves as a technical analyst and programmer of the University’s web services, including web content management system, portal, web services, eSignature solution, and IT service management system (ServiceNow). The incumbent administers the web accessibility scanning system, coordinates web accessibility scan, assists with distributing scan results prioritizing corrections, web and accessibility training, communication, and documentation. The incumbent administers the ITS SERVICE management system (ServiceNow) and develops workflows and service catalogs. The incumbent creates and implements online web forms, and performs basic web administration. The incumbent also develops online eSigature solutions to replace paper forms.

Required Qualifications & Experience: The incumbent must have knowledge of web accessibility requirements and strategies for resolving accessibility issues; of Drupal content management systems, HTML, CSS, web browsers and webpage design; and of Microsoft Professional Suite, including MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. The incumbent must have strong verbal communication skills. The incumbent must also have the ability to prepare effective written documentation; to perform simultaneous task without degradation in work integrity; and have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered.

Special Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of web accessibility analytic tools, such as Compliance Sheriff; of systems development life cycle and expertise in applying structured systems design and development techniques; and of Service Now, or comparable incident management system, administering security, developing service catalog items, workflows, update sets, and integrating inbound scripts. Skills in problem resolution, data gathering, requirements definition, analysis and design; and skills including planning, development, installation, implementation and upgrade of system components.
