Cerner is looking to hire a Regulatory Strategist specializing in software accessibility design and development best practices. As a Regulatory Strategist you will be familiar with the U.S. Federal accessibility requirements and standards (Section 508, WCAG, etc.) and how to apply them in software and web-based products. You will drive accessibility strategy through interpretation of regulatory guidelines, ensure all content types can be consumed by users of accessible technology, and provide guidance on a variety of software platforms to ensure accessibility and usability compliance. You will also understand how assistive technologies work with current and future software architectures, other assistive technologies, and other programs. You will communicate and integrate regulatory and accessibility roadmaps across the corporate portfolio in partnership with stakeholders. Join us in improving our community’s health and care!

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Health Care or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of regulatory consulting, compliance or research work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to use of HIT to support compliance with federal regulatory requirements
At least 1 year of facilitating completion of product VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates)
Completion of 'Trusted Tester' Certification
Cerner solution knowledge for one or more solution offerings in Clinicals or Population Health
Expectations
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City area.
