Role Description
Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Digital Accessibility Analyst/Tester for a contract through September 2026 (potential for extension) with the State of Maine Office of Technology.
* Assist with a large backlog of testing requests in our queue.
* Ensure adherence to the Department of Justice Title II Rule, which requires state websites and mobile applications to be accessible to people with disabilities.
* Ensure digital documents (PDFs, etc.) are accessible to people with disabilities.
Qualifications
* Certified as a DHS Trusted Tester
* Experience assessing web applications for accessibility standards conformance
* Experience testing mobile applications against WCAG 2.1AA Standards
* Must have experience assessing mobile applications for accessibility standards conformance and accessibility Conformance Reports
* Experience reporting assessment results to responsible parties, utilizing a standard process and reporting format
* Experience responding to testing result inquiries, explaining test findings and providing guidance as to what issues are and how to address them
* Experience assessing digital documents for accessibility conformance
* Experience administering and utilizing enterprise-level accessibility testing and monitoring tools (Siteimprove, Deque axe Monitor, Level Access Platform, Level Access AMP, etc.)
* Strong oral and written communication skills
Requirements
* Experience delivering live or recorded digital accessibility training
* Experience serving as a digital accessibility subject matter expert, providing guidance, information, and resources to interested parties
* Experience determining tools, training, and resources required to achieve digital accessibility conformance
