**What does this role do at AHIMA?**

We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and experienced professional to lead the end-to-end development, optimization, and evolution of our eLearning product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving production strategy, elevating operational performance, and ensuring our offerings remain market-leading and aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital learning production, strong leadership capabilities, and a forward-looking perspective on education technology and emerging industry trends. The **Associate Director, eLearning** will lead a multidisciplinary production team, partner closely with key internal stakeholders, and manage a complex pipeline of new product development, enhancements, and catalog maintenance.

**What are some of the responsibilities?**

* Lead and mentor the eLearning production team, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and product vision.
* Own the end-to-end eLearning production strategy and lifecycle, overseeing planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and delivery across the course portfolio.
* Manage production roadmaps and timelines, proactively identifying risks, resource needs, and scope changes and advising senior leadership on mitigation strategies.
* Oversee the eLearning catalog to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and seamless updates across internal, external, and reseller channels.
* Partner with the Continuing Education Manager to ensure CEU, assessment, and survey compliance requirements are met.
* Leverage customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product enhancements, pricing, and long-term roadmap decisions.
* Assist with reporting on financial performance and conducting analysis to evaluate product profitability, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
* Drive continuous improvement by implementing process efficiencies, automation, and cost-optimization initiatives.
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure competitive positioning.
* Enhance and maintain strong relationships with reseller partners, supporting them with product knowledge, updates, and strategic coordination as needed.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, and other stakeholders to support product demos, training, and content-related inquiries

**What are the knowledge and skills requirements?**

* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.

* Excellent project and production management capabilities, including managing complex workflows, timelines, and competing priorities.
* Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and financial evaluation to support product strategy and portfolio decisions.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners at all levels.
* Working knowledge of digital accessibility standards, including WCAG, Section 508, and VPAT requirements
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
* Minimum 5 years experience in eLearning production, or similar.
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Learning and Development, a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience managing and leading a dynamic team.
* Hands-on experience with eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline (preferred), Adobe Captivate, or similar.
* Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools including MS Office, JIRA, Smartsheets, or comparable systems.
* Knowledge and practical application of adult learning principles to enhance learner engagement and outcomes.
* Instructional design experience preferred, particularly in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
* Experience supporting or evaluating accessibility compliance, including VPAT documentation, WCAG conformance, and Section 508 standards, strongly preferred.
* Prior experience in healthcare education, professional credentialing, or revenue cycle management environments is highly desirable.
