**So, what’s the role all about?**

The Senior Accessibility Automation Engineer is responsible for evaluating digital products to ensure they meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and provide an inclusive experience for all users, including people with disabilities. The role involves both manual and automated accessibility testing, building scalable automation frameworks, defect reporting, and providing guidance to development teams based on **WCAG 2.1 and 2.2** criteria.

**How will you make an impact?**

* Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing of web applications using both manual techniques and automated tools.
* Evaluate user interfaces against **WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 success criteria**, including perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust principles.
* Perform **manual testing using leading assistive technologies**, including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), color contrast analyzer, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software (Dragon).

* Develop, enhance, and maintain **accessibility automation frameworks** using industry standard tools and libraries‑standard tools and libraries
* Integrate automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines to enforce shift-left accessibility practices.

* Document accessibility findings with clear, actionable defect descriptions, screenshots, conformance level, success criteria in our test management system (i.e. JIRA)
* Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure accessibility requirements are understood and implemented throughout the SDLC with a mindset for ‘shift-left’ accessibility practices.
* Validate accessibility fixes and ensure new features do not introduce accessibility regression before release.
* Assist in performing the audit for different applications within CX suite.
* Author and maintain accurate **Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)** using the VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) framework (Intl, EU, and US editions).

* Stay current with evolving accessibility standards, assistive technology advancements, automated testing tools, and best practices.

**Have you got what it takes?**

* B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial/Electronic Engineering.
* 5 to 8 years of experience in IT as Automation QA Engineer.
* 2 to 4 years hands-on experience in accessibility testing
* 2+ years of experience in UI Automation testing.
* Expert in designing test strategy, test cases, test plans.
* **Playwright** equivalent UI testing tools
* Languages **Typescript**/**Java/Javascript**
* Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
* Experienced with defect management and tracking tools, preferably Jira.
* Experience working in Agile methodology.
* Strong understanding of **WCAG 2.1 and 2.2** guidelines and how to apply them in practical testing and automation scenarios

* Hands-on experience designing or executing **automated accessibility test suites** using frameworks like **Axe-core, Playwright**
* Proven experience creating and updating **ACR/VPAT** documentation for enterprise
* Hands-on experience with assistive technologies such as:

* **Screen readers:** NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
* **Accessibility tools:** Axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, ARC Toolkit, Color Contrast Analyzers

* Experience testing UI components for:

* Keyboard accessibility

* Focus management
* Forms, error handling, and validation
* Time-based media
* Pointer and target size requirements (WCAG 2.2)

* Familiarity with **HTML5, CSS, ARIA attributes**, and semantic structure (e.g., missing labels, incorrect focus management, role attributes)
* Ability to analyze complex UI behaviors and identify accessibility gaps.
* Excellent communication skills, very good English.

**Preferred Certification:**

* IAAP CPACC or WAS certification (or working toward it)
* Experience in Agile development environments
* Understanding of inclusive design principles
* Basic knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
