The Department of Probation seeks an ADA Compliance Specialist skilled in web development to ensure digital products meet ADA, WCAG, and other accessibility standards. This role promotes inclusion by making websites, applications, and digital assets accessible to all users.

Responsibilities include prioritizing digital assets for accessibility, auditing outgoing communications for accessibility, serving as a subject matter expert on new ICT procurement, organizing staff accessibility trainings, collecting data for compliance reporting, conducting accessibility audits, collaborating with developers/designers to implement accessible design and coding best practices, providing remediation plans, using accessibility testing tools, staying current with legal updates, assisting in usability testing with individuals with disabilities, managing websites and intranets including SharePoint, conducting content audits, ensuring all accessibility laws and guidelines compliance, and supporting digital initiatives and internal SharePoint management.

Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in an appropriate field and varying required experience depending on assignment level. Preferred skills include strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA knowledge; experience with accessibility testing tools; familiarity with CMS platforms; understanding of WCAG, Section 508, ADA compliance; experience designing accessible multimedia; relevant certifications; and knowledge of SharePoint online/server, cloud technologies, and Microsoft certifications.
