Accessibility Analyst

**Project Scope:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented *Accessibility Remediation Specialist* to review and update Microsoft Word and PDF documents to meet ADA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and Section 508 accessibility standards. This role ensures our public-facing documents are fully accessible, properly tagged, and compliant with current accessibility guidelines.

**Roles/Responsibilities:**

* Remediate Word and PDF documents for accessibility compliance

* Apply correct heading structure, ALT text, reading order, tagging, bookmarks, and metadata

* Convert documents cleanly between Word and PDF while maintaining accessibility

* Identify accessibility issues and correct formatting problems

* Communicate with content owners to clarify intent or resolve issues

* Ensure all deliverables meet Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards

* Use Accessibility Checkers to validate documents

**Mandatory Skills:**

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word accessibility features(styles, headings, tables, lists, alt text)

* Advanced experience in Adobe Acrobat Pro (tagging, reading order, accessibility tools, remediation)

* Understanding of Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and ADA requirements

* Ability to remediate complex documents, including forms, tables, and multi-section reports

* High attention to detail and strong quality assurance skills

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Experience with large organizations or the government/public sector is a plus

**Preferred Skills:**

* Experience with *AEM Forms*, *fillable PDFs*, or form accessibility

* Knowledge of screen readers (JAWS, NVDA)

* Experience writing accessibility reports or documenting remediation steps
