Position Description

We’re looking for a **Senior Learning Experience Assessor (Accessibility)**with a passion for inclusive design and a strong background in eLearning development. In this role, you’ll ensure that all learning content adheres to global accessibility standards, especially WCAG 2.1/2.2—and is optimized for usability across a diverse set of learners, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, Instructional Designers, Developers, Visual Designers, and Editorial and QA to embed accessibility into the entire content creation process. Your role will involve both proactive design consultation and reactive content remediation, ensuring accessibility is not an afterthought but a core design principle.
Core Responsibilities

Accessibility Standards & Compliance
----------------------------------------
* Ensure eLearning content complies with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA (preferably AAA) and other relevant accessibility regulations
* Conduct accessibility evaluations and guide remediation efforts for new and existing digital learning content
* Provide input on best practices for inclusive learning design—including visual, auditory, and interaction-based considerations
Collaboration & Training

* Partner with instructional designers and multimedia specialists to embed accessibility principles early in the content development lifecycle
* Review storyboards, visuals, and final outputs to identify and mitigate accessibility gaps
* Facilitate training sessions or build resources to upskill teams on accessibility awareness and best practices
* Contribute to process improvements, tool evaluations, and innovations in digital learning delivery.
Testing, Automation & AI Integration

* Conduct manual (NVDA, JAWS, etc.) and automated accessibility testing of learning content
* Leverage AI-powered accessibility tools to scale testing and detect compliance issues faster
* Evaluate opportunities to use AI in improving accessibility workflows (e.g., alt-text generation, voice descriptions, remediation tracking)
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

* Define and implement accessibility checkpoints throughout the content creation workflow
* Collaborate with QA and project leads to prepare content for compliance reviews or audits
* Stay updated with evolving standards and propose ways to improve content inclusivity and learner experience
Qualifications
------------------
* 8-10 years of experience in eLearning design or development, with a strong focus on accessibility and quality
* Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and accessibility guidelines for digital learning
* Demonstrated experience applying accessibility standards to digital learning outputs across formats and modalities
* Familiarity with **screen-reader-based testing**, **accessibility automation tools, and AI-assisted testing frameworks**
* Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams
* Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) is highly desirable
* Bonus: Experience contributing to accessibility frameworks or guidelines in a global learning environment
