Experienced Accessibility Consultant

What You'll DoWe're looking for an experienced Accessibility Consultant to join our enterprise experience platform team. In this role, you'll ensure that products, services, and/or processes meet established accessibility standards and regulatory requirements by collaborating with partners across the entreprise. You'll conduct detailed assessments and audits, identify areas for improved accessibility, identify and guide the needed corrective actions, provide accessibility education support when needed, and appropriately document accessibility progress and exceptions.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
* Advise and collaborate early in the design and development process to ensure accessibility is built into documents, presentations, websites, apps, and other digital assets
* Manage our enterprise mass scanning website crawling tools and the relationships with web domain owners from across the enterprise
* Provide practical, inclusive guidance to help teams create experiences that work for everyone
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, tailoring messages around accessibility risks, progress, and outcomes
* Lead multiple high-impact projects, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver accessible solutions on time
* Review digital content against accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508), identify barriers, and document clear, actionable recommendations
* Track and support issue resolution, including alternative approaches when full compliance isn’t possible
* Support accessibility education, including formal training and informal Q&A through office hours and other channels
* Contribute to internal improvements, helping standardize processes, tools, and reporting across accessibility efforts

Who You Are
* 8+ years of accessibility experience in a professional setting or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or education
* Strong knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 A and AA
* Proficient with assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA), accessibility testing tools (e.g., Wave, Axe, Colour Contrast Analyzer, MS-Office and Adobe built-in checkers) and website mass-scanning/crawling tools (e.g., Siteimprove)
* Skilled at identifying accessibility issues across documents, PDFs, websites, and mobile apps; providing guidance; tracking success; and supporting accessibility education at scale
* Excellent communication skills: courteous, thoughtful, technically proficient, and able to present, facilitate, and mentor others effectively
* Experience engaging with accessibility SMEs to align on standards, tooling, WCAG interpretations, and testing approaches
* Strong leadership, planning, decision-making, and self-management skills; able to work effectively in a matrix environment
* Able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, vendors, and external consultants, influencing others without formal authority
* Results-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing ambiguity and expectations
* Understanding of IT capabilities and applications to find opportunities for process improvement
* Experience assessing organizational culture and adapting work efforts to achieve results

Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$100800 - $170000 / year

Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work EnvironmentsThis role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
