Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manager, Disability & Accessibility located in a major J&J location listed in the posting.
As the Senior Manager, Disability & Accessibility Lead within Human Resources, you will lead the enterprise-wide strategy to embed disability and accessibility inclusion across all aspects of the employee and customer experience. This role is responsible for accelerating the shift toward a disability-confident culture by developing and executing a global roadmap that integrates inclusive practices into business operations, talent processes, technology platforms, and external engagement.
You will drive strategic leadership and governance, ensuring alignment with business goals and accountability across functions. Through cross-functional collaboration with HR, GTM, JJT, Facilities, Legal, Procurement, Communications and other partners you will operationalize accessibility standards, accommodations, and training programs. You will oversee global compliance with disability laws and digital accessibility regulations, champion innovation through accessible technologies, and build external partnerships that enhance reputation and thought leadership. Leveraging data and employee insights, you will measure progress and maturity, ensuring sustainable impact and continuous improvement. The Disability and Accessibility Lead will lead sustainable change that demonstrates our credo values and elevates the importance of accessibility for all.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
Lead the execution of a global disability and accessibility strategy aligned with business goals.
Deliver a comprehensive enterprise-wide roadmap for integrating accessibility across employee experience.
Create and implement an organizational change management strategy to build a disability-confident culture.
Drive execution of priority initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
Implement governance mechanisms to monitor progress, align global efforts, and drive accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner across HR, GTM, JJT, Facilities, Legal, Procurement, Communications, and Talent Acquisition to embed accessibility into enterprise systems and talent practices.
Consult with Learn on disability & accessibility training development.
Partner with Employee Health & Wellbeing to streamline and operationalize a global accommodations process.
Champion accessibility of digital products, services, and experiences for employees, people leaders and customers.
Compliance & Standards
Monitor global compliance with disability laws and digital accessibility regulations (e.g., WCAG).
Provide oversight and support for compliance strategies that address regional variations through the establishment of a global compliance coalition.
External Engagement & Reputation
Establish and leverage external partnerships to accelerate our mission, establish best practices, develop thought leadership and disability confidence.
Data & Insights
Partner with the ADA EBRG to capture employee insights and leverage data to identify gaps and improve accessibility outcomes.
Define and report key metrics and outcomes; track maturity using recognized frameworks and benchmarking tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
8+ years of professional experience in compliance or global program management or launching enterprise initiatives or related fields
Experience influencing senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience implementing governance frameworks and driving accountability.
Experience with change management.
Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and global initiatives.
Skilled in using data to track progress, identify gaps, and report on outcomes.
Preferred:
PMP Certification
Experience with accessibility audits, compliance reporting, and maturity assessments.
Awareness of global disability laws and digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
Familiarity with benchmarking tools and maturity models.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusive design principles.
