This position is responsible for overseeing the provision of a diverse range of accessible educational materials, ensuring inclusivity for all learners within the school district. This role involves coordinating the acquisition, production, and distribution of materials in various formats, including Braille and other accessible formats, to support students with diverse learning needs. The primary purpose is to foster an inclusive learning environment by providing equitable access to educational resources for all students, contributing to their academic success and overall well-being.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum two (2) years of related experience
* Proven experience in coordinating the production and distribution of accessible learning materials, including Braille and alternative formats
* Ability to learn and demonstrate an understanding of braille per National Library Service standards
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders
* Proficient in relevant technologies and tools used for the creation and distribution of accessible learning materials
* Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
* Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to the accessibility of educational materials.
* Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges related to the production and distribution of accessible materials
Terms: Full-time, 8 hours/day, 260 days (12 months)
