About the role:
SAS is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer to join our Design System and Accessibility team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the user experience of our products by contributing to our design system and advocating for accessibility best practices. You will collaborate with product teams, engineers, and other designers to ensure our products are intuitive, inclusive, and visually consistent.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, including UI components, patterns, and guidelines.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to identify user needs and pain points.
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
Champion accessibility best practices, ensuring our products meet WCAG standards and are usable by everyone.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the design system and accessibility principles into product development.
Provide design guidance and support to product teams.
Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends, accessibility standards, and design system best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional experience in UX design, with a focus on design systems and accessibility.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience creating and maintaining design system components and documentation.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Portfolio showcasing relevant UX design work, including examples of design system contributions and accessibility considerations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Experience working in a large enterprise software environment.
