IT Business Analyst – Accessibility & EIR Compliance

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Contract: Long-Term (1+ Year, potential extension)

Eligibility Requirements:

* Must be local to the Austin, TX area and able to work onsite two days per week.
* Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors).
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or visa transfer.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with strong State of Texas experience and a background in accessibility compliance for Electronic Information Resources (EIR). This role collaborates closely with ITS Leadership and the Agency Accessibility Coordinator to design, manage, and support accessibility improvement initiatives in alignment with Federal, State, and agency policies, including ADA Title II, TAC, and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assessing digital content for accessibility compliance, documenting remediation requirements, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting ongoing accessibility governance and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and implement accessibility initiatives in alignment with state and federal accessibility requirements, including DOJ ADA Title II.
* Analyze web content and digital materials to identify accessibility issues and recommend remediation strategies.
* Perform accessibility testing and validation for EIR applications, websites, and digital documentation.
* Work with business owners, developers, and stakeholders to coordinate and track accessibility remediation efforts.
* Document testing results, remediation steps, business requirements, and process workflows.
* Create accessibility reports and contribute to accessibility roadmaps and project planning efforts.
* Communicate accessibility updates and compliance status to internal and external teams.
* Conduct preliminary accessibility assessments and support continuous improvement of accessibility standards.

Minimum Qualifications

* 4+ years of experience applying and interpreting Texas Administrative Code, DIR EIR Accessibility Policy, and WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
* 4+ years of experience evaluating digital content (websites, documents, forms, multimedia, etc.) for accessibility compliance and recommending remediation.
* 4+ years of experience with EIR accessibility testing, validation methodologies, and remediation workflows.
* 4+ years of experience gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements with strong attention to detail.
* 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office / O365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint).
* 2+ years of experience communicating accessibility findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
