Accessibility Specialist (Web) - Volunteer Opportunity

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to building inclusive and accessible digital experiences. We’re looking for a volunteer **Accessibility Specialist** to help us identify and address accessibility barriers across our website and digital content.**What You’ll Do:**

* Audit our website and applications for accessibility issues.
* Document findings and recommend solutions based on WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 standards.
* Collaborate with our design and development teams to implement best practices.
* Support the creation of internal accessibility guidelines and workflows.

**What We’re Looking For:**

* 2-3 Years experience conducting accessibility reviews in previous roles (professional, academic, or project-based).
* Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., WAVE, AXE, Lighthouse) and assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
* Strong understanding of accessibility standards; certifications are a plus.
* Passion for digital inclusion.

**Time Commitment:**

* Between 10–15 hours/week, flexible and remote.
* For OPT/CPT volunteers: 20+ hours/week, flexible and remote.
