As a Senior Associate Accessibility Specialist Tester in the Web Production team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating conformance testing for web pages. Your responsibilities will include verifying compliance with the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 standards and ensuring adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508, and other laws related to accessibility. This position offers the chance to experiment with new concepts, act as a subject matter expert for the wider team and work closely with our partners. Job Responsibilities
* Facilitate and perform comprehensive accessibility testing for customer-facing web pages across multiple projects, following robust processes and thorough documentation.
* Verify adherence to WCAG 2.1 standards and ensure compliance with ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility laws.
* Collaborate with partners to discuss defects and recommend solutions, including design improvements, CMS entries, and high-level code guidance.
* Report WCAG failures and create necessary documentation.
* Serve as a subject matter expert, experiment with new concepts, and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* 3+ years in quality assurance, including system testing, test planning, coordination, defect resolution, and use of ALM or JIRA.
* Demonstrated success driving accessibility in digital, customer-facing initiatives.
* In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2, ADA, Section 508, CVAA).
* Broad familiarity with digital assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, CCA).
* Experience with accessibility on at least one platform, with exposure to other platforms such as Web accessibility (Windows, macOS), Mobile accessibility (Android, iOS), Video and digital media
* Proficiency in WAI-ARIA, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to accessibility.
* Good communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with or without direct supervision.
* High attention to detail and ability to work with urgency.
