Quality Assurance Engineer / Senior QA Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer / Senior QA Specialist to join our team and ensure the delivery of exceptional quality across web and mobile applications. This role is responsible for validating functionality, usability, performance, security, and compatibility across platforms and devices. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design and execute test strategies, implement automation, and provide actionable insights that drive release confidence.

Core Testing Scope
* Functional Quality: End-to-end workflows (authentication, search, checkout, KYC), regression suites, negative/boundary testing, feature flag validation.
* Usability & Accessibility: Navigation clarity, form usability, microcopy checks, WCAG 2.x AA compliance (keyboard navigation, screen readers, contrast, alt text).
* Performance & Reliability: Load/stress/endurance testing, KPI tracking (response time, throughput, resource utilization), real-world scenarios (network variability, offline/low-battery), failover validation.
* Security & Compliance: SSL/TLS checks, vulnerability scans, penetration basics, session management, data protection assessments, privacy by design.
* Compatibility & Devices: Cross-browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge), cross-device (phones, tablets, varied screen densities), responsive/adaptive UI validation.
* Data & Integrations: Database integrity checks, API contract validation, payments (auth, capture, refund, chargeback, payouts), KYC/AML edge cases, third-party integrations.
* Localization & Multi-Market Readiness: Language packs, right-to-left scripts, currency/date/time formats, regional compliance validation.
* Observability & Reporting: Instrumentation hooks, defect logging with repro steps/screenshots/video, comprehensive reporting with trend metrics, release quality gates.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
* Perform usability and accessibility testing to validate user journeys and compliance.
* Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure stability.
* Execute security testing and escalate critical findings.
* Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI and API layers.
* Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using real devices and emulators.
* Log, triage, and track defects with clear documentation.
* Produce concise test reports and metrics for stakeholders.
* Support payment and KYC testing workflows with secure data handling.
* Partner early in the SDLC to define acceptance criteria and enforce quality gates in CI/CD.

Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in Web and Mobile Quality Assurance.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience for the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role.
* Strong manual testing expertise and test case design.
* Proven experience with test automation (UI and API).
* Familiarity with performance and security testing fundamentals.
* Experience testing payment flows, KYC, or fintech features is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across timezones.
* Bonus: SQL proficiency, experience with feature flags and experimentation.

Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD pipelines.
* Prior work with multi-market or localized products.
* Certifications (ISTQB, CPACC/IAAP for accessibility) are a plus.

Domain Experience (Bonus Points)
* E-commerce: Checkout reliability, payment coverage, promotions, order/returns.
* Fintech: Secure transactions, KYC/AML, PCI awareness, multi-currency payouts, ledger consistency.
* SaaS: Onboarding, subscription lifecycle, multi-tenant isolation, RBAC/SSO, billing.
* Gaming/iGaming: Gameplay continuity, promotions/bonuses, deposits/withdrawals, device/OS compatibility.

Tools & Technologies
* Test Management: Jira, TestRail, Excel.
* Automation: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, Playwright (plus).
* API Testing: Postman, REST-assured.
* Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling.
* Security: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite (basic).
* Cross-Device Testing: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, real device labs.
* CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git (GitLab/TeamCity a plus).
* Collaboration: Slack, Confluence, Zoom.
* Reporting: Allure, Extent Reports (nice to have).

Compliance & Access Requirements
* Secure handling of staging environments and test credentials.
* Knowledge of GDPR and PCI-DSS compliance for payment testing.
* Comfortable working under NDA and PO/contract terms with standard billing cadences.

Working Model
* Flexible hours with required timezone overlap for daily syncs.
* Participation in pilot phases with acceptance criteria such as zero critical defects and agreed performance thresholds.
