Student Web Accessibility Auditor & Remediator

This part-time position assists faculty in the College of Science (COS) and the College of Engineering, Applied Science, and Technology (EAST) with ensuring their online course materials meet DOJ accessibility standards by the April 2026 deadline. This involves auditing websites and individual files (e.g., .pdf and LaTeX documents) to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards using provided toolkits. A key focus is on remediating complex materials common in these colleges, such as digital figures, videos, equations, mathematical symbols, technical drawings, and nonstandard notation. Candidates must have a combination of web accessibility, HTML coding, and document/image accessibility knowledge, and may be asked to perform both low-level and high-level remediation. This job is a great opportunity to get experience in the field. Days and hours are flexible to work around your schedule. You must be available to work 20-29 hours per week.
