Accessibility Lead

We are hiring an Accessibility Tester with 5-8 years of experience in performing accessibility evaluations for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards and assist teams in ensuring our digital products meet WCAG 2.1 / 2.2, Section 508, and ADA compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
● Managing the team and project deliveries
● Conducting accessibility audits as an individual contributor
● Creating training materials and leading accessibility workshops
● Serving as a technical lead for junior team members
● Collaborating with design and development teams to integrate accessibility best practices
● Advocating for accessibility initiatives within the company and industry
● Conducting user research and testing with people with disabilities
● Staying updated with accessibility laws, guidelines, and industry trends
● Promoting accessibility through blogs, articles, and conference talks
● Engaging with external accessibility communities and organizations
● And other related tasks to enhance accessibility initiatives
● You will also be expected to adhere to the company's policies and standards.

Required Skills:
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA guidelines.
Hands-on experience with assistive technologies such as:
Screen Readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
Keyboard Navigation
Accessibility Inspector tools and browser extensions (axe, WAVE, Lighthouse).
Familiarity with HTML5, ARIA, CSS, JavaScript basics for identifying accessibility defects.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
