Senior Software Engineer

About The Role
The Hawkins Engineering team is a cross-functional team whose primary goal is to empower teams to design and build high-quality and cohesive user experiences at a rapid pace.

We do this by building reusable React components and setting clear standards to help teams understand what makes a great user experience at Netflix. The result of our efforts is a design system (Hawkins) that is currently used by hundreds of applications across the enterprise.
You will shine in this role if you care deeply about front-end experiences, love partnering with designers to deliver user joy, and helping to advance developer efficiencies across multiple organizations.
Specifically, we are looking for someone who excels at:
Leading cross team initiatives; building strong partnerships and empathy with colleagues from various domains
Demonstrating excellent communication skills and ability to impact culture - you are an advocate for reducing developer overhead and love to motivate and inspire others to contribute
Evangelizing and driving adoption of software development best practices in code health and quality
Experience contributing to an enterprise design system; demonstrating a strong attention to detail from both a design and technical perspective
Advocating for Accessibility (a11y) standards and inclusive design practices
Experience building and supporting responsive applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript, CSS
