Completes web development work for User Experience (UX) driven projects, including Information Architecture (IA) updates, landing page updates, page redesigns, and other UX-driven design updates.
Represents UX team in handoff to and coordination of work with development team.
Leverages experience to offer suggestions on information architecture, web content and layout, user experience, search engine optimization, Section 508 compliance, and use of graphics, mobile optimization, and other web best practices.
Produces wireframes and other mockups to depict user interface designs and changes.
Performs web design and production tasks using CDC’s custom Web Content Management System and/or SharePoint.
Leverages the current CDC templates, including configuration of associated files (navigation, heater, footer, etc.) and the COVD-19 Style Guide.
Makes use of HTML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery programming languages as needed.
Helps identify inconsistencies in wording, heading, labels, layouts, and formatting and works with UX team members to resolve.
Documents website changes for communication with stakeholders and for reporting purposes.
Creates and optimizes Section 508 compliant images and PDFs for the web using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat).
Performs QA reviews and all applicable testing before returning to client for final review, approval, and clearance. Performs cross-browser testing and follows all internal approval and clearance processes before posting pages.
Knows and continues to keep up-to-date on Section 508 accessibility requirements and ensures all web pages and web files are compliant.
Runs reports and analyzes site pages to determine use of elements, orphan pages, broken links, and page relationships as needed.
Attends web team meetings, provides valuable input, and maintains strong, positive team and client relations. Represents team in cross-organizational workgroups, communities of practice, project teams, etc.
Uses MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and WinZip software to format and store files as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; or a minimum 9 years’ experience to satisfy degree and experience requirements.
4 years demonstrated proficiency in designing mobile-friendly and responsive web applications, including wireframes, and prototyping.
4 years demonstrated proficiency in website development and maintenance.
4 years’ experience in Website Programming – HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS.
2 years’ experience using Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Knowledgeable of Section 508 requirements and website accessibility.
Extremely detail-oriented and skilled in quality assurance of output.
Demonstrated experience with meeting deadlines with both timeliness and quality and with balancing and prioritizing work across multiple projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency clearance.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $66,123.20
Colorado Salary Maximum:$141,336.00
