The Program Manager 2 – Digital Accessibility monitors campus digital accessibility of digital content and assists in the management of day-to-day operations of the University’s Digital Accessibility Program.

Job Duties

Supports the Executive Director of Digital Accessibility in the development, implementation, and monitoring of digital accessibility for the LMS system, websites and documents.
Participates in the accessibility evaluations of websites and applications under consideration for purchase and deployment, including review and evaluation of vendor-provided VPAT responses. Must have ability and willingness to learn accessibility process and understand federal and state accessibility requirements.
Participates and serves on accessibility committees and task forces as a representative of the unit.
Participates in special projects and prepares a variety of statistical reports as needed.
Participates in working groups where various teams collaborate on IT Accessibility issues. Teams could include, but are not limited to, IT services, instructional designers, faculty and web development.
Participates in the review and maintenance of guidelines, best practices and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites, IT software, systems and online materials in compliance with Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 213 and federal ADA regulations.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Additional Job Posting Information:

Requires a minimum of one (1) year of transferrable or similar job-related experience. Must have an ability or willingness to learn digital accessibility concepts, procedures, policies, and laws. Candidate must be able to problem solve and be willing to learn how to evaluate and solve accessibility-related issues for students and employees.
