Director of Accessibility - Engineering
As Director of Accessibility, you will focus on developing a unified plan and communications framework for accessibility activities across Personal Investing. You’ll collaborate with accessibility leaders across Fidelity to help drive accessibility compliance, consultations, and guidance to our engineering partners. Your natural aptitude for communicating with senior leaders, assessing engineering impact, and addressing implementation challenges from policy will help you succeed.
Through collaborating with engineers, product owners, and designers, you will help research, build, and improve experiences impacting millions of customers worldwide. This is a high-impact role where you will make the world better for millions of people!
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Passionate about customer experience and inclusivity
Ability to develop measures and metrics and use them to drive decisions
Outstanding communication skills with an ability to adapt and tailor communications for different audiences
Strategic problem-solver who can identify expansive business opportunities across multiple business groups, independently drive alignment, and execute action plans that bring focus and alignment
2+ years driving accessibility requirements and projects
5+ years of proven engineering Program Management or Product Development, driving efforts across multiple teams
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (AA) Guidelines
Detailed understanding of assistive technologies such as JAWS, VoiceOver, and, ZoomText
Experience remediating accessibility issues using web-based and/or mobile technology
Experience with change management and/or driving cultural change
You work in partnership with squad leaders and other chapter leaders. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you evolve and sustain our innovative, agile culture.
