Joining the Digital Accessibility team, the core objective of the Accessibility Analyst’s role is to represent employees and customers with a disability and advocate for Accessibility across NAB’s Digital Assets.

Key accountabilities

Conduct assessments and report on WCAG technical accessibility of NAB digital assets across multiple platforms (desktop, web, mobile, tablet)
Build prototypes to test solutions to accessibility problems
Define project-specific accessibility requirements
Assist designers / developers to address accessibility issues
Lead brainstorms, discussions, and reviews of accessibility
Evangelise accessible design and development
Support the execution of NAB’s Digital Accessibility Strategy
Support the execution of NAB’s Accessibility Action Plan
Job Specific Skills

Expert knowledge of WCAG 2.0 guidelines and techniques
Solid understanding of WAI-ARIA best practices and implementation in complex user interfaces
Familiarity with assistive technologies for a variety of disabilities (e.g. screen readers)
In-depth knowledge of inclusive design practices, technical accessibility and digital accessibility best practices
Experience in standards compliant HTML, JavaScript and CSS development
Able to identify inaccessible features of visual and interaction design
Able to support accessible product development from design through development to quality testing
Experience testing accessibility on multiple platforms (desktop, tablet, iOS, Android)
Bonus Skills:

Experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
Experience with AngularJS
Experience with ReactJS
Experience with Git
Qualifications:

Proven skill-set and knowledge with previous usability/accessibility consulting experience
Relevant tertiary qualification is favourable but not necessary
Experience working in complex business environments
