Sr. Digital Accessibility Manager

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Digital Accessibility Manager in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. The Sr. Digital Accessibility Manager is responsible for guiding internal stakeholders in digital accessibility development, testing, and remediation and verifying American Heart Association’s compliance to WCAG and other accessibility requirements. This role is responsible for educating staff and contractors how to implement and test webpages, mobile applications, PDFs, and other tools or communications.

The Sr. Digital Accessibility Manager will facilitate accessibility governance processes, including monitoring the Association’s digital properties for WCAG compliance, review and follow-up of extension requests, and recommending and overseeing tools that support delivery of accessible solutions (e.g., Siteimprove and Deque axe). This position interfaces with third-party vendors, American Heart Association's Legal team, business resources and Business Technology staff to ensure accessibility considerations across the Association. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a desire to learn and teach, and a desire to support culture changes so that the way we develop and deliver digital tools includes accessibility considerations.
