Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science/Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Industry experience in manual software testing and implementing industry standards.
Experience working with assistive technology, such as screen readers, voice assistants, etc. and/or accessibility testing tools.


Preferred qualifications:

Experience in accessibility testing.
Direct experience of accessibility issues.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to pay attention to details.

Accessibility Analysts ensure that Google’s products and services are tested for compliance with applicable accessibility standards and legislation as well as creating highly efficient, delightful and productive experiences for everyone including users with disabilities. Accessibility Analysts are experts in manual testing with assistive technology software and hardware and advise on accessible design and usability with the product teams. Accessibility Analysts have significant impact as the voice of users with disabilities within the Google Play organization.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities

Perform launch reviews of new features and deciding whether they meet the bar for accessibility. Perform full audits of Google Play products across platforms for accessibility issues.
Perform accessibility testing, evaluation, and analysis with a wide range of assistive technology tools on multiple platforms on desktop and mobile.
Test new user-facing accessibility features and ensure they're finished.
Work with ambiguous test requests and environments and create effective accessibility test cases and plans based on available data such as product requirement documents, design documents, and functional test plans.
Communicate well with all the stakeholders: UX designers, developers, and managers as well as being the voice of users with disabilities within Google Play.
