We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Digital Accessibility team in a role as Digital Accessibility Governance Lead. The person in this role will oversee EIT’s inventory of digital properties and applications to monitor compliance with the ADA Title III Policy and Digital Accessibility Policy. You will be responsible for monitoring and governance of the inventory, overseeing assessments and remediation, entering and reporting accessibility metrics, and interfacing with property owners, risk, and compliance teams. The person in this role will also assist with program initiatives such as integrating accessibility into the System Development Lifecycle and Application Lifecycle.Â

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage an inventory of properties and/or applications to track and monitor accessibility status and ensure accuracy and timeliness in meeting governance requirements. Oversee accessibility assessment scheduling and remediation. Hold meetings with property owners/vendors to communicate requirements, provide guidance, and drive desired outcomes. Obtain and prepare data for reporting from various systems: Application inventory, Workforce Analytics, or others. Report accessibility metrics, executive dashboards, to compliance teams, or other forums as needed. Escalate policy exceptions with issues management, monitor resolution through remediation, retirement, or risk acceptance. Maintain program documentation, processes and procedures.


Required Qualifications

7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance
Strong relationship management skills
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
1+ year of process design or improvement experience
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important



Other Desired Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of accessibility methods and standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), or section 508 compliance guidelines
Knowledge and understanding of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Knowledge of Wells Fargo accessibility policies, standards, and requirements
Prior experience ensuring compliance with corporate and/or web governance policies
Understanding of accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies Experience with operational or performance reporting activities
Knowledge of Web technologies such as HTML, CSS and Web content management systems.
Experience with ADA testing tools for Web accessibility such as Accessibility Management Platform (AMP), Axe, or Deque World Space
Knowledge of assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Dragon Naturally Speaking, etc.
Knowledge of e-document accessibility techniques
Knowledge of mobile accessibility practices
Strong communication and customer service skills
Prior experience in a governance or compliance related role or activities
