Job Description Summary: Mobile Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Plan, develop and execute product quality strategies for the PayPal Native Applications

Develop test strategies for business critical projects to ensure product correctness before launch

Spearhead initiatives that influences engineering organizations to build a quality-driven culture

Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of products

Identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality

Define and implement QA processes to optimize and scale testing within the product

Establish and drive the adoption of quality metrics that help measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of product

Assess non-functional (e.g. l10n, a11y) product quality in collaboration with other quality focused teams and provide key insights to product teams


Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience

5+ years of quality Engineering and/or test engineering experience

Experience in Building/Extending XCUITest Automation framework with proficiency in Swift programming.

Experience in Extending Mobile Automation Frameworks built using Appium and Cucumber.

Experience with Ruby scripting and familiarity in BDD using Gherkin

Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines setups and debugging

Experience in Designing Automation Strategies, Scripting, Execution

Hands-on experience with planning, designing, executing tests and knowledge of performance and stress testing

Familiar with Mobile release process

Collaborate closely with developers, and product owners and team to meet quality standards and align with delivery priorities to release revolutionary products

Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools & automation frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Building/Extending Espresso Framework using Kotlin for Android Automation.

Being creative and having initiative to improve product quality coverage and effectiveness
