As part of our ongoing commitment to become the world’s most welcoming company to partners (employees) and customers with disabilities, Starbucks established an Accessibility Office to build a comprehensive, global, enterprise-wide accessibility strategy. Integrating accessible design and driving inclusive standards, this work is cross functional and collaborative with deep subject matter expertise and diverse talents.


Role
As a senior specialist, you are accountable for a diverse portfolio of accessibility efforts across the company. If you are self-directed, highly collaborative, and have a growth mindset - we are looking for you. As a senior specialist, you will:


Drive integration of accessibility requirements – you will collaborate cross functionally, bringing subject matter expertise on screen readers and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines); demonstrate use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology; influence enterprise-wide teams for continuous improvement with process, product and systems to incorporate accessibility features
Contribute to the accessibility center of excellence – you will create and deliver impactful presentations that showcase the business advantage of accessibility; curate content and resources; and build capacity through the enterprise

We’d love to hear from people with:

Subject matter expertise in disability inclusion and integrating accessible design throughout all areas of a business
Experiential knowledge with screen readers, voiceover, or braille
Familiarity with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
Strong collaboration and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
Influential communication skills that are effective across a variety of audiences
