The assistant director of digital accessibility will work with the ICT Accessibility Policy Council on evaluating materials submitted as part of the accessible ICT procurement process. They will also facilitate meetings for the Accessibility Assessment Committee and Accessibility Compliance Committee.

The assistant director will directly support ITS staff members, providing guidance and techniques on developing, evaluating, and implementing enterprise software and hardware and product evaluation assistance.

The assistant director will maintain and enhance the online Syracuse University Accessible Technology Toolkit.

Ultimately, the assistant director will enable ITS to stay abreast of all information and communication accessibility regulations and standards to provide University leadership and accessible products and services.
