What you'll do...

In this role, you will be part of and support the execution of the Accessibility/Inclusive Design program at Walmart International. You will work closely with the Accessibility/Inclusive Design Leader, cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure we maximize our opportunities for Inclusive Design. In Walmart International, we strive to meet the bar set by our markets and to best serve our customers and Associates in those markets.

You will -

Lead efforts to ensure that our experiences are designed with inclusion in mind.

Provide guidance and direction on inclusive design practices to the team.

Collaborate with UX Research in conducting qualitative and quantitative discovery to unlock potential areas of opportunities and inclusive insights.

Work with product teams to conduct design reviews, identify and resolve accessibility barriers, and drive inclusive design outcomes.

Facilitate workshops and training sessions on inclusive design.

Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout the organization to drive accessibility program maturity.

What you'll bring:

3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role in a complex dynamic organization, with a demonstrated track record of designing inclusive and accessible products and services.

Educational background and degree in Inclusive Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or Interaction Design preferred.

Experience conducting user research, such as usability testing and accessibility testing, and synthesizing findings into design recommendations.

Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design best practices, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Deep knowledge of global accessibility standards, trends, best practices, and requirements. General awareness of Section 508, ADA, AODA, and EN 301 549.

Experience designing for assistive technologies and contributing to design systems for digital products.

Experience driving organizational change through advocacy and coaching.

Ability to work collaboratively with agile, cross-functional teams, including user experience designers, content strategists, accessibility testers, and developers.

Knowledge of accessibility assessment, inspection & evaluation tools; inclusive language and research tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders.

Passion for inclusive design and a commitment to creating products and services that are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or background.
