Job Title: Digital Accessibility Specialist
Work Mode: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 months
Pay Range: $50/h - $64/h on W2, depending upon experience

What you will do in this role:

Engage with users and researchers to understand their unique accessibility needs for our products, including defining and synthesizing user types, use cases and specific UX opportunities. 
Create and execute on processes for regular accessibility audits on the product suite.
Verify compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, ADA, Section 508, and other laws related to accessibility.
Collaborate with the broader team to define and deliver manual accessibility testing standards.
Discuss defects and offer design and high-level code guidance and solutions.
Act as the team expert on accessibility.
Be the point person for accessibility questions and work to educate the wider team on delivering accessible products.


What you will need to be successful in this role:

Demonstrate experience driving accessibility in digital, customer-facing programs.
Expertise in accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA, Section 508, and others as appropriate.
Strong experience with a broad range of accessibility platforms.
Web accessibility on Windows and macOS
Mobile accessibility on Android and iOS
Video and other digital media
Broad experience with digital assistive technologies (i.e. JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

Team primarily uses Mac but Windows works as well.



Education:

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related work experience.
