IT Accessibility Specialist

Performs accessibility issue analysis and testing to provide appropriate and timely guidance on remediation actions to the agency to prevent or resolve accessibility errors within a website, web app, electronic document or mobile app.

Review accessibility errors from automated testing applications to determine the appropriate course of action for correction.

Assists state staff and vendors in the design, development and testing of application system corrections or enhancements by analyzing modifications recommended, determining system impact and estimating effort and resources required to perform modification to ensure accessibility.

Review vendor documentation to verify compliance with state laws and regulations.

Develops, reviews and updates Office of Accessibility documentation and training material to ensure that information is accurate, relevant, current, and user friendly.
