Job Description:

Key Initiative Program – Accessibility Professional for Enterprise Accessibility Center of Excellence

Become recognized as the employer of choice for people with disabilities
Enable employee workforce representation at Bank of America to better reflect the abilities of customers & clients we serve, while helping employees with disabilities reach their full potential
Modernize our employee facing applications to assist those with disabilities
Work horizontally with Technology and Enterprise Change Teams to include accessibility & enterprise architecture standards in application development, enhancements and re-design efforts

Required Skills:

Full understanding of Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines and specifications
Must be fluent in WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA guidelines and know WAI-ARIA roles, states and authoring practices
Experience interacting with designers, developers and testers regarding application accessibility needs
Experience testing application accessibility and assisting developers in remediating defects
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Pega
Proficient in writing and maintaining testing data.
Experience maintaining accessibility standards
Able to communicate with diverse groups across the company and build relationships that result in creative and comprehensive approach to guide effective accessibility outcomes
Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes
Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities
Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize work and deliver quality collateral in a time-sensitive environment with multiple competing priorities
Demonstrated working knowledge of Permit-to-Build/Permit-to-Operate, QA/QC and Enterprise Change Governance processes
Demonstrated project experience running mid-size efforts inclusive of tracking and measuring progress
Strong project management, problem solving and analysis techniques skills
Ability to translate application strategies into specific goals, tactics and action plans
Possess mature business judgment and be proactive, well organized and results-oriented
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Expert in the use of some assistive technologies (AT). Specifically, but not limited to:
JAWS for Windows
ZoomText for Windows
Dragon Naturally Speaking for Windows
Accessibility features of mobile platforms:
IOS
Android
Certification in the above ATs a plus.
Working knowledge of other assistive technologies for computer users with disabilities.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities:
Training in the use of ATs.
Troubleshooting issues between ATs and other Windows applications
