Position Summary
Serves as key HR partner in managing ADA, religious and pregnancy-based accommodations at a university level. Works cross-functionally within HR and beyond (Department / School leadership, Recruitment team and Leaves team) to ensure that employees, job candidates and visitors to the university have their needs appropriately accommodated. Works with managers and employees in a collaborative manner to problem solve concerns as part of the interactive process. Trains manages on best practices and policies for the accommodation processes.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages the ADA, religious and pregnancy accommodation processes in a confidential manner.
Facilitates accommodation process with a high degree of independent judgement and problem solving.
Reviews and processes requests for ADA, religious and pregnancy accommodations.
Facilitates the interactive process as required between managers and employees / job candidates.
Facilitates difficult conversations between managers and employees; provides consultation and support with the process and documentation as required.
Partners closely with the HR Leaves team on return-to-work best practices and accommodations as needed.
Works closely with other university offices including but not limited to parking and facilities in order to enable a streamlined accommodation experience for individuals.
Provides Departments / Schools advice and return-to-work best practices as necessary.
Execute responsibilities that require a clear understanding of the Civil Rights Act, ADA, PWFA, PUMP Act, FMLA and the interplay with workers compensation.
Provide Training
Develops and delivers an education and training program to managers ensuring consistent application of HR policies, practices and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Five years of Human Resources experience in managing leaves and/or ADA, Religious and Pregnancy accommodations or related experience.
Certification training in FMLA, ADA and PWFA Compliance required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of Human Resources managing leaves and/or ADA, Religious and Pregnancy accommodations.

Salary Range
$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
