The Digital Accessibility Center of Excellence resides within Citi's Consumer Bank Operational Risk and Control organization. The Digital Accessibility Technical Lead is an Operational Risk Officer - a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about digital accessibility to join the team as a Digital Accessibility Technical Lead. This individual will report into the SVP, Digital Accessibility Team Lead, and will be responsible for guiding the client facing and employee facing accessibility tool strategy as well as driving education and improvements for tool usage within impacted populations. Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines a must. In addition, this team member will engage in the full mission of the Digital Accessibility Center of Excellence, which consists of pillars around technical expertise, relationship management, standards and oversight, and analytics and reporting. Across all of these efforts will be work to change the culture of the organization, and update “the way we work” to include accessibility considerations.

The Digital Accessibility Technical Lead is accountable for succeeding against identified metrics. This individual will regularly assume informal/formal leadership roles within teams and must have strong technical expertise and a desire to learn and teach. They must have the courage to always do what’s right, the humility to learn from mistakes, and the ability to make decisions in alignment with the risk appetite of the organization to promote sound outcomes for Citi and its stakeholders.

This position will matrix report into Citi's Technology Engineering and Architecture area.

Responsibilities:

Support Accessibility tools for Technology Quality Engineering Teams and accommodation teams
Ensuring new versions of Accessibility tools are made available avoiding EOVS
Define and document software packaging specifications, configurations, and end user procurement steps
Perform testing and quality control on new/updated software packages
Work with Accessibility vendors to ensure software defects and vulnerabilities are remediated within the agreed timeframe
Work with Accessibility vendors to groom product roadmap to align with Citi strategy
Stay up-to-date with new Accessibility testing tools and latest versions of tools
Perform evaluations/comparisons of testing tools to inform purchase/license decisions
Proactively communicate ideas, solutions, and capabilities over and above the specific task request
Provide technical advice to IT management or Project Managers, assisting them with high-level planning or issue resolution
Assist in the implementation of internal policies and procedures (standards, controls, metrics)
Resolve issues which may be typically difficult or subtle. Participate in management prioritization, minor enhancements, break fix activities, problem management, stability analysis, etc.
analyze incidents and problems related to business processes and implement solutions

Qualifications:

Required Skills

Experience with Accessibility testing for web, mobile, PDF's using Open Source and Commercial Tools
Strong knowledge of Software Accessibility methodologies, tools, processes
Experience setting up software access within software distribution networks such as Artifactory or Nexus
Developer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role

Experience using Java, Maven, Python, NodeJS
Testing HTML using Selenium, Junit, Nunit
Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and/or Behave

Experience with BitBucket repositories, Jenkinks CI/CD pipeline and SonarQube
Should be proactive in nature, identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous service improvement opportunities
Good verbal and written communication

Qualifications

WAS or IAAP Certification a plus
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines expertise

Experience (5+ years of accessibility tools)

Deque tools e.g. aXe Expert, aXe DevTools, aXe Auditor, aXe Monitor
Screen Readers: NVDA, JAWS
Color Contrast: Color Contrast Analyzer (CCA)

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree
