Software Test Engineer - Accessibility & Compliance

Diamond is looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer (STE) to join our Agile software team and act as a subject matter expert in software accessibility and regulatory compliance areas.

As a Software Test Engineer - Accessibility & Compliance, you will partner with content and streaming media teams to ensure content is operational for new channel launches and ensure its accessibility as well as compliance with relevant regulations. You will perform QA testing on cross platform, cross device (CTV, OTT, STB,Mobile, Web) streaming media applications. Troubleshooting is an understatement; it's more like trouble forecasting. You will also act as a representative of the Software Test Engineering Team in scrum meetings and provide input on how to provide better quality coverage for the applications supported.

This is full-time remote position in Los Angeles with great pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology highly focused ensuring regulatory compliance for CCPA, GDPR, etc
Conduct internal tests to measure compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks such as FCC Quality Standards, WCAG 2.1, the ADA, Section 508, CVAA
Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity.
As an STE, you are expected to perform ad-hoc/exploratory tests from a feature as well as regression testing.
Ability to execute rigorous testing cycles against product/platform releases (OTT, Native Apps, Web, Connected TVs)

Qualifications:

3+ years of Software Accessibility testing experience
5+ years of total experience as a QA test engineer within an Agile environment
Previous working experience with performing assessments specific to FCC, Quality Standards, WCAG 2.1, the ADA Section 508 CVAA
Experience with JAWS, NVDA, CCA and other accessibility testing tools
Native applications / OTT / CTV Platforms functional testing experience
Formal testing experience from planning to execution
Experience with Compliance regulations such as CCPA, GDPR, etc
Good working knowledge of FCC/WCAG guidelines to adequately create test scenarios to satisfy all accessibility requirements
Good working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA guidelines to adequately create test scenarios to satisfy all accessibility requirements
3+ years of testing experience on Native apps, Web and connected TV platforms
2+ years experience leading accessibility and compliance testing activities
Exposure to Agile Management tools such as Jira, a plus.
