We are a woman-owned and disability-owned small business in search for a special digital accessibility manual tester. The ideal digital accessibility manual tester will have strong screen reader skills with professional experience in digital accessibility testing and reporting.

About The Role:

AccessAbility Officer is currently looking for a motivated, passionate, and loyal individual with a disability to join our team who uses assistive technology as a manual digital Accessibility Tester.

In this role you will:

Conduct manual and automated accessibility tests against WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines for websites, web applications, native desktop applications, mobile applications, electronic documents, and other digital assets.

Draft accessibility conformance reports, based on accessibility testing results.

Consult clients on digital asset accessibility compliance and support the implementation of accessibility remediation.

Perform other duties as needed and defined.


Required skills, experience, and education/credentials:

Very strong skills using assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, Talkback, Dragon, Zoomtext, brail displays, and other assistive technologies.

Understanding of common accessibility barriers people with hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, and vision disabilities experience.

Very strong computer and workplace software skills, including Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PDFs, project management tools, and online meeting platforms like Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet.

Be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team, with minimal guidance.

High school diploma.

**Candidates who advance to an interview may be asked to demonstrate assistive technology skill and ability live during a functional interview.


Preferred skills, experience, and education/credentials:

At least 1 digital accessibility certification. Example: Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester

Strong knowledge of Section 508, ADA, and WCAG

Associates or bachelor’s degree

2+ years’ experience of digital accessibility manual testing and reporting.
