Job description
Scope is a disability equality charity in England and Wales. Together we are Disability Gamechangers. We work to create a society where all disabled people enjoy equality and fairness. We campaign tirelessly for everyday equality for disabled people.
The Accessibility Specialist will support the delivery and creation of Scope’s accessibility training products for businesses. This will include accessibility reviews as part of training packages and potentially audits. The role will be split between content and technical web accessibility.

Permanent - 35 hours per week

Location: Here East, Hackney Wick, or remote working. May include travel to deliver training.

The role

Deliver accessibility training products to professionals and corporate teams
Create and deliver bespoke training packages
Create and deliver new training products on technical accessibility and WCAG 2.1
Develop new training assets, like toolkits and videos
Review and audit accessibility of websites and other content types
Support colleagues with accessibility of their work
Support the development of consultancy product offering
About you

A good knowledge of digital and web accessibility standards and Equality Act 2010
Experience doing reviews against WCAG 2.1 and content accessibility best practices, such as plain English
Experience using assistive technologies to test content
Experience with accessibility testing and content tools. For example, WAVE, Microsoft Insights, Hemingway App
Experience delivering training and confident with public speaking. Your personality and the style of delivery you bring inspires and educates.
You can take feedback well and make changes to your work when needed
Lived experience of disability. Or you’re passionate about accessibility and equality for disabled people
