Accessibility Consultant
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to teach accessibility best practices through
documentation, training, and consulting
• Participate in code reviews for accessibility
• Will be consulting on the "how" and demonstrate how to fix or solve a bug
Requirements:
• Must Have:
o 5+ years of digital accessibility experience
o 7+ years of industry experience: Error on the side of submitting senior candidates
o Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WAI-ARIA, and related web technology
o Comfort with using assistive technologies, such as screen readers
o Knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and compliance
o standards
o Excellent communication skills
• Nice Have:
o Accessibility certification
o Experience working in a modern frontend stack ( JS, TypeScript, React, Redux, Cypress)
o Familiarity with Android or iOS accessibility
o Familiarity with inclusive design principle
