Accessibility 508 Specialist
Serves as the advocate for accessibility, a resource for colleagues who need to develop accessible products, and provides outreach and training for project managers, web designers, developers and content providers. Applies specific functional knowledge, and working and general industry knowledge. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
Experience as a 508-accessibility specialist familiar with WCAG 2.0 A/ AA standards and 508 standards as they apply to Information Communications Technology (ICT)
Experience with Accessibility and 508 remediation of Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents
Experience with the 508-tagging process in Adobe PDF
Experience with the Section 508 testing processes and Assistive Technology
Knowledge of CommonLook Software
Ability to validate 508 compliance against government Accessibility standards
Ability to work independently once trained as we are currently remote
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Ability to follow a repeatable method of testing to produce audit results
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $85,000 to $100,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
