Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with exceptional communication and technical skills. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans while navigating complex stakeholder expectations with professionalism and clarity. This program will deliver engineering services on a GOTS software application. The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Test the user interface for expected behavior and accessibility
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, senior leadership and other key stakeholders to understand project goals and quality standards.
- Conduct security testing for the API and ensure that the applications remain stable
- Create and manage JIRA tickets for bugs and/or tasks
- Assist with content management in Confluence and help improve overall team workflow visualization in JIRA.
- Lead Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting efforts post-launch and support documentation efforts
- Help with security log reviews, supporting tools like Elastic Real User Monitoring (RUM), App Performance Monitor (APM), and UMPIRE reviews.
- Communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactively identify, document, and track software defects and work with team to drive timely resolution
- Adapt testing strategies in response to shifting priorities and evolving business needs, while maintaining a high level of quality
- Manage expectations and provide regular status updates to demanding senior leadership with transparency and tact
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a quality perspective
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees; thirteen (13) years relevant experience without a degree.
- Familiarity with Swagger
- Experience testing APIs for security
- Experience testing for accessibility
- Experience conducting application demos
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills"
