Senior Analyst Digital Accessibility

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Digital Accessibility will ensure that JetBlue’s digital products are accessible to Customers with disabilities. They will conduct quality assurance evaluations for JetBlue’s web site and mobile apps to ensure they are in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Essential Responsibilities
• Work with Design/UX teams to create accessible digital experiences for Customers
• Conduct manual testing of JetBlue responsive web pages and mobile app to ensure technical standards are meeting WCAG 2.0/2.1 compliance as well as other requirements
• Compose user stories that aid in the design of interfaces to be optimized for a wide variety of users
• Work with Product teams to prioritize Accessibility issues and defects
• Make design decisions for interactivity based on accessibility requirements for ACAA
• Perform manual tests, including accessibility automated tests, to validate code
• Collaborate with Dev, QA and Business Partners as necessary to ensure the success of functional code implementation
• Develop testing methodology that includes specifications and requirements for accessibility automated testing tools
• Report issues to Crewmembers and Business Partners responsible for the issue with remediation suggests/troubleshooting
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three (3) years of professional experience with Digital Accessibility
• Understanding of Accessibility best practices
• Ability to work across all levels and influence with impact
• Strong presentation skills and experience working with and presenting to executives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Occasional travel required (10%)
• In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
• Five (5) years of professional experience with Digital Accessibility
• Knowledge of web development best practices for accessibility

Crewmember Expectations:
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

• Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
• Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
