Test Engineer

JOB SUMMARY: Analyze business requirement documents and functional specification documents to prepare test cases based on Test Plan and Use Cases. Build and maintain automated suite of tests and perform deployment of self-service web portals. Manually verify the test features and functionality using developer tools within the browser to validate Application Programming Interface calls and ensure the DOM is laid out correctly. Utilize volt to identify specific end-user journey covered by analytics test case; verify software quality tests; and leverage prisms to ensure analytics events are passing accurate test data. Test software quality applications with JAWS to verify impeccability of experience in the application for non-sighted end-users. Build and maintain automated suite; develop new tests in Typescript, Protractor, and Cucumber; and triage existing failures in Charter Communications’ test suite to identify fixes. Write and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts for regression testing documentation in TestRail/QC. Log defects using Jira; and collaborate with developers and product teams to fix and resolve defects. Utilize CSG for Charter Communications’ footprint to obtain details for equipment, service appointments, and billing. Utilize ICOMS for Time Warner Cable and Networks to retrieve data. Execute automated tests using Jenkins-based environments. Perform Sprint planning and provide estimation of needed effort. Utilize Agile Methodology to perform software delivery patterns; perform Manual Testing to validate code; utilize Typescript programming language for automation; and utilize Cucumber to perform automation test framework.

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Must have 4 years of experience utilizing Agile Methodology to perform software delivery patterns; and performing Manual Testing to validate code; 3 years of experience using JAWS testing tool to identify software issues and test software quality applications; and using Jira software to log defects; 2 years of experience utilizing Typescript programming language for automation; and utilizing Cucumber to perform automation test framework.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $99,778.00 to $135,800.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
