- Upper-Intermediate English.

About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Accessibility Specialist who will play a critical role in ensuring digital products are accessible and inclusive for all users, including those with disabilities.

The role involves conducting in-depth testing and analysis, identifying and resolving complex accessibility issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote best practices in inclusive design.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in accessibility compliance standards such as WCAG 2.1 and hands-on experience with assistive technologies like NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

Key Responsibilities:
Accessibility Testing:
Execute comprehensive accessibility testing strategies to ensure products comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ADA, Section 508).
Perform manual and automated accessibility audits across platforms (web, iOS, Android, desktop).
Evaluate user experiences using assistive technologies, including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), keyboard navigation, and other tools.
Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve complex accessibility defects, providing actionable feedback and solutions to development teams.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate accessible code and ensure robust user experiences for individuals with disabilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document accessibility findings, audits, and metrics to track compliance and improvement areas.
Prepare detailed accessibility reports and share recommendations with stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with designers, developers, and QA teams to incorporate accessibility best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
Review product specifications, wireframes, and documentation to assess accessibility impact and make recommendations for improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 Guidelines, Section 508, and other accessibility compliance standards.
Proficiency with assistive technologies, including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
Experience with manual and automated accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe, Lighthouse, WAVE).
Familiarity with ARIA roles and accessibility best practices in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with mobile accessibility APIs (iOS and Android).
Ability to communicate complex accessibility issues and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS).
Experience working with native mobile development frameworks (e.g., Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java).
Familiarity with accessibility considerations for desktop applications (Windows/macOS).
Experience in a leadership role or mentoring team members on accessibility practices.
Soft Skills:
Attention to detail and a passion for creating inclusive experiences.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.
