About the role

As the Accessibility Product Manager, you will lead initiatives that manage accessibility across Zillow Group’s products, platforms and brands. In this role, you will engage leaders and teams across the organization, driving accessibility best-practices and innovations that directly impact our customers. This role is inherently cross-functional – you will work closely with user researchers, product managers, UX designers, legal team, engineering leaders and developers to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal and remote project teams. The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects across multiple teams, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current web technologies and web accessibility. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an ambiguous environment, and not be hindered by competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. In this role, you will:

Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for accessibility initiatives at Zillow Group.

Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to prioritize and execute the most impactful work.

Create clear, trackable goals that will be regularly reported to leadership and leveraged to drive change throughout the organization.

Develop an educational program and deploy guidelines/resources for design, product development, product management, and consumer care teams.

Build an understanding across the company for accessibility and inclusive design.

Understand and broadly articulate emerging trends in accessibility across Zillow Group, including technical trends, legal requirements and guidelines for creating superior customer and associate experiences.

Develop expertise in using assistive technologies across PCs, tablets, and smartphones for different abilities, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceView and OS X VoiceOver.

Who you are

4+ years of experience in a product management role, with experience building platforms for scaled human+technology operations
Prior experience with the WCAG 2.0 standard

A highly analytical approach, with proven experience using data to drive step-change results

A collaborative working style with a strong focus on execution and results

Humility to question assumptions, seek broad input, and validate iteratively

Passion for empowering other people through technology

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
