The A11Y team is looking for a QA Accessibility Engineer who is passionate about ensuring websites and applications are accessible and available to all users, especially those using assistive technologies.

About the Role

The Workday Accessibility team is looking for a motivated professional with experience in testing the accessibility of user experiences (UX/UI) of web applications and automation experience. Successful candidates will have experience working with engineering and product development teams on Quality Assurance and Testing. This role will be a primary contributor to ensuring the accessibility of Workday’s products, establishing engineering best practices, and setting the standard for high quality delivery.

Responsibilities include :

Responsible for ADA, WCAG, 508 Compliance testing for web user experiences (UX/UI)

Develop and execute test plans according to Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA Standards and requirements of Section 508 (29 U.S.C §794d)

Work with the team to establish testing timelines, sprint plans, and deliverables

Perform test coverage analysis, develop and execute test plans using manual and automation methods.

Create tools and processes that help ensure the high quality of work.

Work directly with Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and Software Developers to deliver accessible and high quality user experiences (UX/UI)

Provide feedback and recommendations on accessibility from a user and QA perspective

Responsible for adding automation coverage, triaging and debugging test failures

About You

Basic Qualifications

BS degree with 3+ years work experience or MS degree with 2+ years work experience

2+ years of UI automation experience using industry standard tools such as Selenium, WebdriverIO.

2+ years working on consumer or enterprise UI solving complicated accessibility challenges is preferable.

Other Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Section 508 , WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Guidelines, Success Criteria Level AA, and the implementation of accessible solutions

Experience conducting accessibility testing of web applications on multiple platforms and web browsers: Windows & Mac, Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, IE

Passionate about working with designers, engineers and customers to build accessible user experiences

Drive accessibility and testing efforts drawing from experience working with different disciplines, such as design, engineering and support

Experience with Agile and Test-Driven software development

Experience in Software Quality Engineering and Test Automation
