Analyst, Sr Dig Accessibility

This position is responsible for guiding Royal Caribbean’s internal organization and its brand to creating digital experiences that are accessible to all regardless of ability. The senior analyst will be responsible for advising digital teams to ensure that their products not only meet legal requirements (e.g. WCAG 2.x, ADA Title III, CVAA) but are usable by people with a variety of disabilities. This role will report directly to the Director, Disability Inclusion & ADA Compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and configure automated accessibility testing platforms. Aggregate the results through data analytics and business intelligence programs into periodic reports and dashboards.
Lead efforts to define and implement a digital accessibility strategy and accessibility standards across all brands and departments.
Perform manual testing on digital properties and apps through scorecards, issue tickets and internal reports. Develop a testing plan and manage user testing through third parties.
Based on findings, assist digital teams in resolving accessibility issues for all digital properties.
Create periodic State of Accessibility Reports to communicate findings to senior management.
Write briefs explaining accessibility technologies to internal stakeholders.
Establish and track ongoing mandatory accessibility training for digital project teams (QA, UX and Business Content). Generate engagement reports from attendance and completion data.
Train internal digital teams on using automated testing tools, conducting design reviews, and performing manual testing.
Create and maintain an intranet that includes best practices documentation, State of Accessibility Reports, a calendar of events, blog posts, and links to external resources and training.
Provide support and office hours as a subject matter expert (SME).
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

Degree in computer science, UX design, software development preferred.
Certification in accessibility, such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester, or equivalent.
3 years direct experience with the process of building digital products, such as websites, apps, or software.
At least 3 years’ experience in accessibility or a related field.

Experience with Assistive Technology (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers, alternative input, voice dictation, etc.) for desktop and mobile.
Strong understanding of digital platforms, design principles, techniques and frameworks. Knowledge and ability to use JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover (OSX & iOS), and Android Talkback during testing and/or alongside users during usability testing
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and iOS/Android development best practices.
Does not need to be a developer but should be able to research and recommend solutions in these various technologies in collaboration with developers.
Excellent task management and organizational skills with ability to work collaboratively with multiple groups or self-directed as needed.
