A Fortune 100 financial services organization is seeking a Web Accessibility Specialist to join their team in Charlotte.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing UX Designs (wireframes, visual designs, interaction patterns)
with the objective of identifying issues prior to development
Identifying deficiencies and recommending improvements to new or existing processes
Contributing to development and maintenance for the corporate accessibility site
Asking as the SME on Accessibility for various areas throughout the organizations
Conducting audits and reports, while ensuring that digital properties in compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level A & Level AA, as well as Section 508 when applicable.
Qualifications:
The ability to communicate with Managers, UX Designers,and Developers in order to successfully deliver projects and techniques
A strong understanding of mobile and web accessibility with knowledge of JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and
Talkback
A demonstrated understanding of user experience, web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards and practices, and WAI-ARIA for both desktop and mobile technology and Section 508
The ability to analyze code for accessibility issues with strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
A Bachelors Degree in a related field
