Job Description

The role of Director, UX Design will build and lead a new UX Design team comprised of product designers and content strategists and work in conjunction with accessibility (A11y) and research to establish an industry leading set of tools and experiences for our employee segments - including talent acquisition journeys and employee resource journeys. In turn, the Director will establish design and design thinking to support our enterprise innovations teams.

This position is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the team, and will build and capitalize on key partnerships throughout the bank, to strengthen and evolve a robust enterprise-wide digital tool sets and experiiences. Within the UX/Design org, this role will be responsible for helping to create awareness, educate and champion a mindset of inclusive design, design thinking and the employee segment journeys.

Responsibilities include:

Manage design teams working across multiple platforms and lines of business.
Create and lead the case for further definition of the employee journey as well integrating design into the innovations team for the first time.
Evangelizes user experience by setting a vision and overarching design that will drive engagement and excitement throughout the organization.
Defines and implements an online experience program consistent with the vision of deepening customer and employee relationships.
Defines and delivers against targets across cross-sell, usage, servicing effectiveness, and retention.
Influences and partners with key groups in product management, technology, agile delivery and marketing to establish and achieve KPIs and KEIs.
Defines content strategy and manages content delivery across exepriences.

Basic Qualifications

12 or more years of user experience or related field in highly regulated industry
Higher education, Bachelors or equivalent experience at a minimum, Master's preferred.
Seven or more years in leadership roles in user experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

Experience in building UX design teams from scratch.
Experience designing and delivering customer-centric websites and digital products
Experience in leveraging external user experience partners
Working knowledge of content management system and test and learn tools enabling dynamic content and test and learn capabilities
Knowledge of end to end user experience design and implementation process from customer research to technology delivery and testing
Strong understanding of how deliver quality design in an agile environment
Strong design thinking and design strategy skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong management skills
Organizational savvy and ability to create strong partnerships with technology and product groups
