An entertainment organization in California is currently seeking a new Accessibility Architect for a great Remote opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Accessibility Architect (Remote) will be responsible for collaborating with the business partners to ensure that the principles of inclusion and accessibility are built into every product and experience.
Responsibilities:
The Accessibility Architect (Remote) will:
Provide subject matter expertise on accessibility and user experience for new consumer-facing app features
Deep-dive into technical recommendations for web/React, iOS, or Android platforms
Help oversee the strategic accessibility roadmap for the platform
Scale the Compliance Operations team by identifying areas of opportunity for growth
Train the Internal Product teams
Educate the Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers on accessibility for specialized platform (web/React, iOS, or Android)
Assess new product designs and provide feedback on their adaptability with assistive technologies
Review our products, looking for accessibility issues and design changes to our features in order to make our platforms more accessible and inclusive
Document technical accessibility requirements at the component and architecture-level
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of Digital Accessibility & Compliance in the Technology space
Bachelor's Degree
Expertise in web/React, iOS, or Android accessibility
Experience applying Accessibility standards and tools to Product Development
Deep expertise in WCAG standards
Expertise with Assistive Technologies, such as JAWS/VoiceOver, ZoomText, or keyboard input
Experience and knowledge in Agile Software Development
Working experience with JIRA project management software
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, User Experience, and/or a related field
Development experience in one of these platforms
Previous experience at a large Technology company
